How to save money on grocery shopping?

When you are a student, or on a tight budget, groceries can be a huge expense. There are however allot of things you can do to save money! Read this small article for a few tips of what to do, and some cool and cheap products you can buy.

If you live alone, and are a student, you probably use around 250 dollars on groceries every month. That is 3000 dollars a year. A lot of money when you are on a tight budget.

So, what can you do?

Never throw away eatable food!

First of all, you should never throw away eatable food. And when I say eatable I am talking about the expired date, not that it’s been out of the fridge for a couple of hours. It is insane how much food that goes in the trash. If you’re full, then always save the rest of the food. This can save you money, and time the next day. Most dinners last many days in the fridge.

If you are a student, then maybe you are partying in the weekends. You should know that hard liquor keeps forever. Never poor out any scotch, vodka etc. because you think its old. Beer and opened wine is not like this, those can get really bad.

 Set up a budget!

Second tip is to always know how much money you are spending. Set up a budget. This goes for actually everything. Always have some money for saving. Never go from paycheck to paycheck.

Most importantly; Find good deals!

The most important tip. Don’t just go to nearest shop. Do some research. Mabey go online, and see what is available. I promise you that you will find many good deals. That means you can buy large quantities. Foods and snacks that keep, like Twinkie’s. Honey, Rice, Peanut Butter, macaroni and canned beans. This isn’t exactly the most healthy or luxurious foods, but I am sure you buy a lot of these. Here are a few cheap and tasty snacks on Amazon.
